Here is square #6 from the Sensational Sampler, a free crochet baby blanket. Use an H hook and block to 8″. I added a dc border around it with contrasting color of ecru. You can use any contrasting color you choose. It then works up to be 9″. I hope you enjoy these blocks – they are very easy to work up, and very pretty to boot!

Row 1 (RS): Work 1 sc into 2nd ch from hook, *skip 2 ch, 1 dc into next ch, ch 1, into same ch as last dc work [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc], skip 2 ch, 1 sc into next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2: Ch 4 (count as 1 dc, ch 1], 1 dc into first sc, skip 1 dc, 1 sc into next dc, *1 dc into next sc, ch 1, into same st as last dc work [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc], skip 1 dc, 1 sc into next dc; rep from * to last sc, into last sc work [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc], turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 sc into first dc, *1 dc into next sc, ch 1, into same st as last dc work [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc], skip 1 dc, 1 sc into next dc; rep from * to end placing last sc into 3rd of ch-4 at beg of previous row, turn.
Rows 4 – 17: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 (7 times more). Finish off, weave in ends, block.
On square 6, where is row 4 and 5?
