So now that the Mystery CAL has officially concluded, I’ll show you my original Mrs. Ghan Afghan. Looks like my sweet granddaughter Paisley (and her friend Patrick) has already claimed it. LOL
This afghan was designed with my grandmother in mind. The flower hexagons remind me of my childhood, walking through rows and rows of her beautiful flower garden. Every time my family would visit her, she had to show off her lovely garden.
Two classic crochet stitches are incorporated- the granny stitch and the ripple. Such timeless stitches are combined to create a vintage flair. The design is worked in sections with each added component shaping the overall piece. You will be pleasantly surprised and pleased with how the afghan takes shape.
The MCAL was hosted in my Ravelry Group, Melinda Miller Designs. You can refer to that forum to check out pattern discussion, helpful tips, unique innovations, and advice.
A special thanks to my testers, who proofed, edited, clarified, suggested, and crocheted (with a deadline) my pattern: analea, azgal81, Berniece, grannibarb, Lijona, NitaKnits, sapphire915, vegasangelbrat, and Wilmaelee.
