Day 24 – December 24, 2020
BORDER – worked around perimeter of scarf.
Notes:
*Make sure you have turned the scarf from Day 23, as you will be working back across the short side first.
*Work an odd # of V-Sts on each side.
*Space out the V-Sts far enough apart so that they lie flat and do not ruffle. I skip the space of about 3 sc.
Special Stitches:
BegV-St: (Begdc, ch 2, dc) in same st.
V-St: (Dc, ch 2, dc) in same st.
Cl: Work 3 tr in sp indicated until 1 lp of each is left on hk, yo and draw through all 4 lps on hk.
Instructions:
Rnd 1: Short Side: BegV-St in first st, [sk next 3 sts, V-St in next st] to end, ch 2 for corner, rotate to work on long side. (Odd # of V-Sts)
Long Side: V-St directly to left of corner, [sk sp of 3 sc, V-St] to end, ch 2 for corner, rotate to work on short side. (Odd # of V-Sts)
Short Side: V-St in first st, [sk next 3 sts, V-St in next st] to end, ch 2 for corner, rotate to work on long side. (Odd # of V-Sts)
Long Side: Rep as prev long side, join with sl st to Begdc. (Odd # of V-Sts)
Rnd 2: Sl st into next ch-2 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, [ch 4, Cl in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp] around entire scarf omitting last sc, join with sl st to beg sc. Finish off.
Weave in ends and block.
