Part 1 – Peacock Plumes Afghan CAL
September 21, 2022

Let’s begin our Peacock Plumes Afghan. If you’re just joining the CAL, check out this post to find out all the information you need to crochet along with us!

Today I present to you Part 1 of the Peacock Plumes Afghan CAL.  Enjoy!

Peacocks are beautiful birds. They’re famous for their impressive tail feathers that open up to create one of the most stunning displays in the animal kingdom.

There is a lot more to peacocks than their tail feathers, however. If you look at the head of a peacock, you’ll see small bumps on top and a small cluster of feathers sticking up. The bumps are the crown, and the stiff feathers sticking up are called a crest.

When peacocks are shaking their tail feathers to attract a mate, it’s believed that they are also vibrating their crest feathers.

Part 1 of the Peacock Plumes Afghan represents the Crown and Crest of the peacock.

Written in US terms.
