The completed sample is 59" X 69". It fits my queen size bed nicely.

  2. Raine

do we have to buy a kit or can we just use yarn we have at home

  3. Melinda

You don't have to buy a yarn kit, but I know that some of the suppliers are offering special discounts so you might want to check them out. Feel free to use the yarn of your choice, including your stash. 🙂

  4. Stephanie B.

Where caN i download the Info PDF from your blog I don't see it. Unless its the blog post itself.

  5. Melinda

Hi Stephanie, Sorry for the confusion. This blog post contains the same info as the pdf. The pattern will be on my blog for free, and also as Ravelry downloads for a small fee. If you’d like a free pdf version, you can sign up for the Cascade Yarns newsletter.

  6. Marion

If I buy the pattern as Ravelry download, do I get the weekly updates for free or does every update cost a small fee?

  7. Melinda

Hi Marion, You purchase the pattern only once, then you automatically receive all updates thereafter. 🙂

  8. Unknown

    Hello –
This is my first time doing a CAL, how or where do I get the yarn kit?

  9. Melinda

Look in this post for links to all the shops that are selling kits. You can most likely order online. If no kits are available, you can substitute any worsted weight yarn you like instead.

  10. Marion

thanks for your answer – I bought the pattern yesterday and am looking forward to crocheting this beautiful blanket

  11. hepzibah

Hi Melinda. What does the abbreviation fpdc mean please?

  12. Melinda

FPDC is a front post double crochet stitch. All of the stitch definitions should be listed on page 2 of each pattern pdf, as well as in my blog posts. If you're having trouble, take a look at the video. Tania does a great job demonstrating how it's all done. 🙂

    Thank you

How many Large Squares are we suppose to make?

  15. Melinda

You will make 3 each week for 8 weeks.

  16. Kathy Krawczynski

Is there a way to print out the complete pattern

  17. Melinda

The patterns are free on my blog in nine parts. You can print out each part individually by using the print icon at the bottom of each post. Or you can purchase the patterns in PDF form on Ravelry for a small fee. Link is provided.
