INSTRUCTIONS:
With Color A, ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd. 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 15 dc in ring, join with sl st to top of beg dc. Finish off. (16 dc)
Rnd. 2: Join Color B with sc in any dc, ch 4, skip next dc, *sc in next dc, ch 4, skip next dc; rep from * around, join with sl st to first sc. (8 ch-4 sps)
Rnd. 3: Sl st in first ch-4 sp, ch 4, 4 dc in same sp, ch 1, (5 dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 1) around, join with sl st to top of beg dc. Finish off. (40 dc)
Rnd. 4: Join Color C with sc in any ch-1 sp, ch 4, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, *ch 4, sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 4, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, rep from * around, ch 1, dc in first sc to form last ch-4 sp. (16 ch-4 sps)
Rnd. 5: Sl st in first ch-4 sp made, ch 4, 6 dc in same sp, ch 1, sc in next ch-4 sp, (ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp) twice, ch 1, *7 dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 1, sc in next ch-4 sp, (ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp) twice, ch 1, rep from * twice more, join with sl st to top of beg dc. Finish off.
Rnd.6: Attach Color D to 4th dc of any 7-dc cluster, ch 3, in same st work (1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), *1 dc in each of next 3 dc, 1 dc in next sc, (3 dc in next ch-4 sp) twice, 1 dc in next sc, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, in next dc work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), rep from * twice more, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, 1 dc in next sc, (3 dc in next ch-4 sp) twice, I dc in next sc, 1 dc in ea of next 3 dc, join with sl st to top of beg dc. (18 dc on each side)
Pattern Note: Rnds. 7-10 are all worked in BLO. Attach Color E for Rnd. 7 and Color F for Rnd 10..
Rnd 7: Working in BLO. ch 3, * dc in ea dc to corner, in corner work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc), rep from * around square, join with sl s t to top of beg ch-3.
Rnd 8 – 10: Rep Rnd. 7. After Rnd. 10, finish off, weave in ends, block.

Have you ever done the magic ring to start a circle? Would that work on this. That is the only way I know how to start a circular pattern.
The magic ring would certainly work for this pattern. That is a great option. 🙂
