Love this one! Very pretty! Thank you for sharing your pattern! ~tina
This is a beautiful square but I am having issues with it being too big in the center. I am a tight crocheter and consistant so I'm not sure why. When I fold the square in half it's obvious that the center is too big. Is it supposed to be baggy or puckered? Thanks for any help.
I haven't heard of any of this type of problem with the square. However, here are my measurements: After Rnd. 4 is almost at 6", after Rnd. 7 is almost at 8". Maybe this will help guide you.
I would love a video tutorial of this pattern. I'm having trouble with getting the rounds figured out. I'm not great, but love learning the craft.
Hi Melinda, this is a beautiful square and very easy to follow instructions, my stitching seems a little out, as by round 7 I have 19dc on each side…However, it does not seem to change much as the square looks the same in the end and I don't have any tension issues as above.
Thank you very much for this pattern, I am making a birthday present for my grandmother-in-law…she turns 80 years in a couple of months. I will try and send you a picture of the finished product.
I had the same problem as above, the center puffed out … so what I did is I changd the single crochets in the shells to dc and the dc in the sc to treble crochets. Worked like a charm. 🙂 Thank you, Melinda for this really spectacular pattern.
Love this square, thanks for the pattern!
Love it! What yarn did you use…I love that color. Thank you for sharing 🙂
I believe the yarn I used was Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in Antique Teal.
Lovely square! Thank you for sharing 🙂

Hi Brittney! It is okay to sell finished products for the pattern. I appreciate you including a link to my pattern. Enjoy it, and good luck with your business. 🙂
mine did too, I used 4 chain as my start instead of 6. that helped me.
This is a very nice square! I did it up as per the directions and didn't have any problems with the pattern! Thanks!
A video would be great! Hopefully someone makes one 🙂
Love this pattern, but isn´t it easier with the diagram?
I love this pattern I had no problems following the instructions. It did pucker a little in the middle but once you have finished it lays nicely. Thanks for sharing.
I love this pattern! Last Christmas, I used it to make an afghan…just went with a larger hook and continued the last round until it reached the size I wanted. I used the photo I took of it for my cover page on FaceBook. I STILL get messages from people asking where I got the pattern and commenting on how beautiful it is. I happily direct them to this page. It is one of my faves to do. Thank you so much for making it available for us!
This is a beautiful square, thanks for sharing it! How would you go about making the same granny square smaller, so that it's 6" instead of 12"?

Have several squares completed using pastel colors for the center flower and then green for three rounds with white V's to finish. Just love it. Easy to follow and I think it will make a beautiful afghan when I get it all put together. Thanks for sharing the pattern
Thank you for sharing this very pretty pattern.
So very pretty! I was looking for a motif to use to make my son and daughter in law an Afghan for their first wedding anniversary. I think I found it. Thanks for sharing this pretty pattern.

Love, love, love this pattern. It features heavily in my first ever blanket/throw. It will keep me very warm in the Scottish Winter chill.
Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us budding crocheters.
Karen.
I can't wait to try this with my light grey crochet thread!
Love this pattern so far I've made 3 in peacock teal and 3 and black. I'm going to make 3 mote squares in white and then put them together with a nice border for a pretty throw.
Sounds lovely, Christine. I'd love to see a photo of your completed throw. 🙂
