What a lovely pattern. Thank you. Happy New Year. Mariana
Love the pattern. It is beautiful. However I did find two complete rows of it were left out (not in succession) in order to make the remainder of the pattern to work as directed. They are as follows:
After Rnd 4 and before Rnd 5 – Ch 1, sc same ch 3 loop, * ch 4, sc in next loop . Repeat from * around ending with ch 4; sl st in first sc to join.
DO NOT END OFF COLOR B AFTER RND 7
After Rnd 7 and before Rnd 8 (Note that this Rnd is very similar to Rnd 7 but is different) With color B- Ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, * work corner in corner, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in next 3 dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next ch-3 sp, dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in next ch-4. Repeat from * around. Sl st in top of beg ch-3 st to join. End off color B here.
Hope this helps anyone wanting to make this beautiful dishcloth,
Melinda please note the pattern corrections above by me. Not to step on your toes I hope this did help for those not able to crochet the dishcloth as printed.
Hello. I have not worked the pattern as per your directions, and don't know if your additional directions would take away the integrity of the design. However, my original instructions as I have posted them are correct. One can follow through them round by round and look at the photo to see how the design comes together. I have had this pattern tested by a group of testers before it was published, so I feel confident that the directions are correct. I have also hosted a CAL in my Ravelry group where this pattern was featured, and had no problems with it. I'm so sorry that you have had problems with it. Thank you for writing to me and have a great New year!
Could you please explain what you mean by work corner in corner. I thought I knew what you meant and got through round 6 but when I started round 7 I wasn't coming up with 4 DC's to DC in so obviously I've done something wrong.
I feel good through around 5 but think I did something wrong in around 6 and would appreciate any help as this is a beautiful pattern!!
In Rnd. 5 you worked a corner (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc). The pattern states “corner made.”
For Rnd. 6, you will work the corner (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into the corner of Rnd. 5 – which is the ch-2 sp.
Hope this explains it for you.
