Art Deco Afghan on Ravelry – $2.50
For this week’s section, we will be making some 2 color squares. By turning after each round, it won’t be necessary to carry colors. This is a pretty straightforward square, and works quickly once you get started. Sit in your favorite chair, turn on your favorite television show or music, and you’ll be done in no time.
The inspiration for this section is, of course, the chevron. I love chevrons, or ripples, or zig zags – whatever you want to call them. There are so many variations that produce very unique looks. For this design, I chose to use big, bold chevrons. Very cool, don’t ya think?
NOTE: Erte and Seattle will be substituting colors this week.
Erte – use colors A and C (instead of F)
Seattle – use colors E (instead of A) and F

After completing all 16 squares, you will sew them together into a large chevron pattern. I used the whip stitch on the WS, as the joins are with matching colors and do not bleed through. You may use the join of your choice. Just rotate each square into correct position as shown below.
