Crochet Sensational Sampler Square #2
November 15, 2010
Here is  square number two from the Sensational Sampler, a free crochet baby blanket. There are twelve total, but I made 16 in all to make this lovely lapghan. I just made duplicates of a couple of them. Remember to block each square to 8″ after you work them up. I then worked a round of dc in ecru (or any contrasting color) around each one. Further finishing instructions will
be given with the last pattern.
Square #2

With Color B and H hook,  ch 32.

Row 1 (RS): 2 dc into 5th ch from hook, 2 dc into next ch, *skip 2 ch, 2 dc into each of next 2 ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, skip 1 ch, 1 dc into last ch, turn.

Row 2: Ch 3, *skip 2 sts, 2 dc into each of next 2 sts; rep from * to last 2 sts, skip 1 st, 1 dc into tch, turn.

Rows 3 – 12: Rep Row 2. After Row 12, finish off, weave in ends, block to 8″.

Add a round of dc around the square for a border. this will make the square 9″. I used ecru for a contrasting color.
