CAL – Dishcloth #8
May 2, 2018

Today’s dishcloth was chosen by Mod Robin. Robin has been crocheting since 2011. If you look at her Ravelry projects, you will see that she has 1,230 projects listed. That’s amazing for someone who has been crocheting for a relatively short time. And that’s only the projects that she’s taken the time to document. I really don’t think that woman sleeps. I think she hooks during her sleep, and she’s plugged into a charger every night.
Robin actually taught herself to crochet using a “Learn to Crochet” kit and by watching YouTube videos. She also credits Ravelry and the BAMCAL (Block-a-Month) group – where she worked many, many afghan squares. Most of her FO’s are given away to charity. Her favorite yarn is Red Heart Super Saver but she also likes Herrschner’s Worsted 8. These are perfect for afghans!
Robin likes to watch TV while hooking – as most of us do. She’s hardcore though – watching Netflix, VuDu, Amazon Video, and DVDs. She’s currently watching A Series of Unfortunate Eventsand Doc Martin on Netflix. Her favorite movies are fast-paced action like the Fast & Furious series and the Avengers movies. The New Thor is currently at the very top of her list.
Robin’s favorite project is her Oz’ghan.  She hooked it using the C2C method, and it turned out so awesome! I would hang this on my wall, too!

Robin has started to knit, and recently completed a brioche scarf. She really wants to learn to do the increases/decreases in order to make some cool designs. In crochet, she wants to learn interlocking crochet. That’s on my list, also.

Robin’s crochet tip: “Challenge yourself, but keep it fun. This is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable, so don’t turn it into work. Also – remember to breathe!”
This design is named after my beautiful DIL. She is such a sweet, loving wife to my youngest son and an awesome mom to my two grandchildren. She is truly my daughter.
